The wrong browser profile or wallet account is active
MetaMask extension is disabled, outdated, or missing permissions
Popup blockers, privacy extensions, or another wallet extension conflict
The connected site has stale wallet permissions or expects a different network
Browser update, cache, or profile corruption is affecting the extension
A fake MetaMask extension or cloned support page was installed
A MetaMask restore can look incomplete when additional accounts, imported private-key accounts, hardware wallet accounts, custom networks, or manually imported tokens have not been re-added
